I don't usually get into politics, but this isn't one person's mess, this mess is the responsibility of everyone in Washington who haven't been doing their job. It amazes me how short people's memories are and how quickly they forgot how this mess was already in place and now blame it on the easiest scapegoat available. The problems started before him, he inherited them, and whoever comes after him will get the same inheritance.

I thought before the election that whoever wanted to run for president at that time was crazy for punishment because things were in such a mess there was no way the next president was going to come through the mess unscathed, didn't matter whether he/she was democrat or republican, there was no way the mess was going to turn around within their term.

Here is a philosophy of mine;

1. Don't borrow money.
2. If I do, pay back as soon as possible.

A politician's job is to get reelected. Spending money that isn't there and leaving the mess for the next person is a politician's way of life.

(Notice I said "politician," not any party.)

People figured out that our governments take our money and redistribute it. After that was figured out, people wanted "their" slice of the pie. Trying to take away people's slice of the pie will be very hard.

The US went from being owed the most amount of money to owing the most amount of money in a few decades.

The country with the best balance sheet is Red China.

Enough said about the future of the United States.

And I'll bet the banks who got it all will never plant another tree.
