Default What color is it?

When I posted my AW 1964 Wagon, it shows up as "almost" black. On my monitor, knowing its maroon I see it as maroon. As a long time ebay seller, getting to color right is...difficult. I have huge issues with light green and worst is purple.

The quote below is from a guy attempting to take photos of purple flowers. When I have a purple model, I edit hue as best I can, as purple does not show without help. Dont like to Photoshop, but sometimes you have to.

Now, without getting all techy on you a hell of a lot goes into managing color in digital photography and Iím not going to get all preachy about it. Letís assume you have calibrated your monitor to the best of your ability. Letís take it as read that youíve selected the proper white balance when you were shooting. Still have blue flowers? Itís not your fault. Itís the sensor. In a nutshell, digital sensors have a difficult time seeing, rendering and processing purple and often put out pure blue instead. If you want the techy reasons Google is your friend and there is no shortage of articles about it. Even film had trouble reproducing purple accurately. Mostly it has to do with the color purple itself being made up of red and blue, two colors on opposite ends of the color spectrum and digital sensors, even very modern ones, have trouble. Itís been a thorn in our collective sides for years. A quick Google search pulls up a ton of people asking why their purple flowers look blue.

I know more than one collector who bought what they thought was a color variation, and...nope, just digital and monitors.
